Hiseem is a small, independent website built around one idea: a calculator page should load fast, work on the first try, and get out of your way. We build narrow, single-purpose tools rather than one giant do-everything app, so each tool stays simple to use and quick to load, even on a slow mobile connection.
Our first collection of tools focuses on baking and cooking measurement conversions — the grams-to-cups, oven-temperature and pan-size questions that come up constantly when following a recipe written in a different measuring system than the one you have in your kitchen. We plan to add more tool categories over time under their own sections of the site, without cluttering or slowing down the tools that are already here.
Every calculator on Hiseem runs entirely in your web browser using plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. When you type a number into a converter, that calculation happens on your own device — nothing you enter is transmitted to our servers or stored anywhere. This keeps the tools fast and usable offline once a page has loaded, and means there's nothing sensitive to protect, because we never see your input in the first place.
We source the conversion factors and reference figures used throughout the site from standard, widely published culinary references (weights and measures commonly used by professional bakers and major recipe publishers). Ingredient density can vary slightly by brand, humidity and measuring technique, so treat every result as a close, practical estimate rather than a laboratory-grade figure. If you spot a figure that looks wrong, please let us know.
Questions, corrections or suggestions for a future tool category are always welcome — see the Contact page.
